CAD Design: The CAD/Design team is responsible for working with the mechanical engineering department to create a preliminary design of the robot, in addition to maintaining CAD files to send to companies for grant proposals.
Mechanical Engineering: The mechanical engineering department works closely with the CAD/Design department to build the overall structure of the robot, including any additional parts necessary for competition or outreach events. During build season, the mechanical department works extensively on the robot to ensure maximum efficiency.
Programming: The programming department is responsible for creating the robot’s software, including primary and secondary controls. They are also responsible for the software of different technology demos in outreach events.
Electrical Engineering: The electrical department is responsible for the wiring of the computer systems of the robot and the testing of its electrical systems. Additionally, they are responsible for keeping all electrical wiring organized.
Public Relations: The public relations department is responsible for the management of the team’s social media pages and the team's website. Their duties include posting updates, pictures, and videos. They also are responsible for the production of fundraising media and events.
Grants and Sponsorships: This department is responsible for filling out applications for grants and sponsorships. They also find fundraising opportunities for the team and manage the team's finances.
Operations: The operations department handles the planning and logistics of the annual curriculum and our outreach events, such as the venue, amount of supplies, etc, including recruiting volunteers. The department also communicates extensively with the Grants and Sponsorships department to ensure sufficient funds for each event.
